Description
2021, 12″ LP, Oroom.
Icelandic band GusGus are a well known quality in electronic circles. Competent at their electronic craft without ever breaking the mould, they have put out ten albums to date. This is their 11th, and first in three years. It finds Icelandic singer Margret Ran from Reykjavik band VOK join the group and is based around the concept of Earth being a futuristic world run by machines. Strip that backstory away and you are left with a retro tinged synth sound, progressive melodies and moments of pop vocal that rise high above the accessible grooves. – Juno
