ELEGAL2 offers up rare and hard to find tracks for the vaults of revered UK producer Lemmon Grass. They were written in the mid-nineties and on the British House label Triumph Records but they fit right into to today’s underground. ‘Julie Must Fly’ hi-tek soul, with futurist pads making you gaze off into the future. ‘Freak In Me’ places you more in the here and now with its bouncy house vibes and ‘Barly Rd’ then pairs razor sharp drum work with celebratory synth stabs that shimmer and shine. ‘121’ is an old school jacking cut with analogue drum workouts and flailing cow bells. – Juno
