Although their career is still in its infancy, Jockstrap (the genre-blurring partnership of Georgia Ellery and Taylor Skye) have already been placed on a pedestal and acclaimed as one of the UK’s most interesting new acts in years. It’s certainly true that their debut album, I Love You Jennifer B, is undeniably impressive, delivering a stylish, often lo-fi, sometimes punky musical fusion that craftily combines elements from a multitude of styles (heavily electronic power-pop, ghetto-tech, indie-rock, orchestra-laden ballads, jangly White Album-era Beatles eccentricity, opaque ambient pop, Americana, electronica and more) while never settling on one idea or groove for very long. – Juno
