Shall Not Fade has been one of the standout labels of the year for us here at Juno HQ. They have put out lots of good music from a wide array of genres and this new one from Marcel Vogel and Tim Jules continues in that tradition. This is deep house with real musical values and great instrumental sounds. ‘If You Don’t Love’ is a steamy jam with mellifluous chords and seductive vocals from Alexandre Arslan. ‘This Is When I Leave’ is a louche and broken jam with neo-soul vocals melting the heart. ‘Why Don’t You Leave Me’ pumps a roughed up Motor City house groove and two further tunes explore more frayed-edged drums and soulful vocals. – Juno
