Laurence Guy has quickly established himself with an ever more mature and accomplished sound on labels like Church, Mule Musiq, Studio Barnhus and Shall Not Fade. Now he is back with a full length album in the form of Living Like There’s No Tomorrow, But Killing Yourself In The Process and it is one that finds him heading off in something of a bold new direction. That creative shift was inspired, he says, by the dual experiences of last night hedonism and the morning after feels “and the intensity with which you can feel both. I wouldn’t feel the comedown if I didn’t have the intense pleasure of the party; as a result, I wouldn’t need to make a lot of the music I do.”
