German synth-pop band Cold End have their Metropolitan Jungle EP reissued here by Swiss label Proxima. It was first released in 1987 during the peak years for that genre but has aged well. Katrin A. Kunze, Jurgen Grah and Markus Kammann – who had success with a proviso project before this one – achieve a successful fusion of soul and electronic sounds here with dynamic percussion, lush synth textures and enchanting vocals over killer drum programming that is cold yet alluring. A real classic that is well worth having on vinyl. – Juno
