The Lowless label continues its foray into the deepest realms of contemporary techno with this stunning 12″ from Ukrainian producer Svarog. Having previously made an impression with releases on Affin LTD amongst other labels, the Lviv-based artist presents some of his most compelling productions to date here. Vast, billowing clouds of cold air drifting over elegant, reduced rhythms – this is how immersive techno should be done. “Flight Over” is especially enchanting with its mysterious aura hovering somewhere between frostbitten malaise and ethereal uplift. “Find Your Way” is not to be overlooked either – a powerful ambient piece with air traffic control samples woven in amongst the sustained pads and electrostatic crackle. – Juno
