After teasing with a couple of singles from it, Togolese Afro-funk band Vaudou Game finally unveil their new album Noussin. The band has been responsible for some of the most essential music on Hot Casa Music and this record continues that with lush Afro-soul, percussion rich groves and tight, funky rhythms all interwoven with spacey Moog and distinctive vocal. Elements of highlife define the trilling sounds of ‘Bella,’ ‘Lady Bobo’ is more straight up Afro funk and ‘Tu As Deconne’ is a super high speed chase with 60s guitar riffs and compelling ad libs. – Juno
