Mondowski lands on Snap Crackle & Pop with the wonderful hybrid track “Sholay”, which has a whiff of electroclash mixed with spookier gothic influences and something a little more transcendental. As such, it’s easy to picture this track getting love in all kinds of darkened corners of the dance. “Negative Space” is a more overtly clubby track, all nervy rhythm twitches and low-frequency synth grind with a generous dose of minimal wave influence at its core. It’s no surprise to see the ever-prolific Kris Baha dropping a slick industro-sleaze version of “Sholay”, while Multiple Man’s “Sniffing Anxiety” take on “Negative Space” is just as essential for those who can’t pack enough grimy club grinders into their bag. – Juno
