Venezuelan producer Arca returns with the first-ever vinyl pressing of her early mixtape @@@@@, the 62-minute deep dive into experimental electronics to prefigure her Kick series. A 30-track onslaught – with standouts ‘Diva’, ‘Construct’, ‘Devastation’, ‘Bebe’, and ‘Psychosexual’ – @@@@@ helped pioneer the avant-garde, rubberised electronica mega-album later taken up in form by the likes of AG Cook and Sophie, its monstrous, all-consuming alloys and car-crash sonics ticking the box of “disgustingly good”. Impossible to quantify, ‘Psychosexual’ brings hooahs of pitch-whacked, pornotopic vocals, while ‘Heaventsent’ packs formless glitch and air-piped pads.
