American dance punks !!! (chk chk chk) won over plenty of fans and critics alike with their second studio album. It was hailed as a brave collision of agit-pop, indie and dance rock that was driven by funky rhythms and post punk attitudes. Two singles ‘Hello? Is This Thing On?’ and ‘Pardon My Freedom’ both performed well and it was said at the time that “the album brings some real substance to dance music” (just don’t let any dance music fans hear that, though.) The slicker sound of this second album had more disco influences and plenty of trance inducing builds all made it extra electric. – Juno
