2020 marks Sushitech’s 15th birthday, with label founder Yossi Amoyal compiling a celebratory compilation which shares the imprint’s story through the records that inspired him – and continue to do so. Fluere exists across four 12″s, which are all together here on the Collectors Edition (White Tote Bag Version) and limited to 50 copies. Features German master minimalist Jan Jelinek under the alias Gesellschaft Zur Emanzipation Des Samples with the serene soundscape of ‘Helmut Schmidt Plays Bach’ (dub), while Mathew Jonson always make a worthy addition with his hypnotic techno classic ‘Freedom Engine’ and veteran producer Benjamin Brunn appears also with the blissful ambient journey ‘A Rivulet In Paradise’. Elsewhere, label staple Steve O’Sullivan serves up a typically dubby and bass driven groove on ‘Paracelsus’ (Alchemy mix) and electro beats come from the inimitable Silicon Scally on ‘Relay’ and the late Andrew Weatherall appears with Keith Tenniswood under their Two Lone Swordsmen alias on ‘Felt Under Pressure’. – Juno
